A HUGE thank you to the guys at National Starter & Alternator Rebuilders for the exceptional, honest and prompt service! Here's the story: my car stalled out on a cold night in late January (dash lights indicating problem with alternator) so had it towed to the dealership where it is usually serviced. Was told that the diagnostic scan revealed that car needed a new battery and alternator. Quoted $1100. Seemed high to me so contacted a few people, one of whom is a friend who works at National Starter. He suggested I have my car towed to their shop, so I did. Picked it up yesterday and very happily paid the bill ... $435.12 (tax included)! Turned out the battery did not need replacing. The bottom line for me is about trust ... and the guys at National Starter have mine! (As for the dealership, I will definitely be having a conversation with the service manager.)
